CPS RECOGINIZES ST. PHILIP'S PROFESSOR DAVIS

Dr. William C. Davis, chair of the St. Philip’s College Natural Science Department, was honored by City Public Service (CPS) at a recent meeting of the Alamo Community College Board of Trustees. Anthony Edwards, CPS vice president of community programs, presented the St. Philip's College professor with a large, framed copy of a print advertisement that CPS published during Black Heritage Month last February. The ad, which appeared in local news publications, served as a salute to Dr. Davis and highlighted his contributions as an educator, calling him "An Educator with Amazing Energy." Dr. Davis was cited as one who “has worked to show students what can be achieved through a love of learning and hard work.”
