The course, developed and sanctioned by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, is the only one of its kind to be offered in the San Antonio area. Classes will familiarize students with the legal elements of fraud, financial transactions, criminology and ethics, and fraud investigation. Topics to be included are: What every accountant should know about fraud, internal fraud and auditors, fundamentals of computer fraud, locating hidden assets, asset misappropriation, and detecting and preventing financial statement fraud.

The course is designed as a hands-on learning experience and will include film presentations, discussion and role-playing scenarios.
