ST. PHILIP'S COLLEGE INSTRUCTOR TO HEAD LOCAL CHEF GROUP

Will Thornton, an instructor in the St. Philip's College Culinary Arts Program, was recently elected to a two-year term as director of the San Antonio Chapter of the Texas Chefs Association. Thornton, who is an associate professor, certified executive chef, and certified culinary educator, will serve effective from Sept. 2004 to Aug. 2006. The Association's membership is made up of area chefs and allied members as well as student chefs. The Association prides itself in support of community service activities and participates in American Culinary Federation initiatives with “Chef and Child.”
