ST. PHILIP'S COLLEGE GRADUATION SCHEDULED DEC. 11
ACCD Chancellor Terence Kelly to Deliver Keynote


St. Philip's College will hold its 2003 fall commencement exercises on Thursday, Dec. 11, at 7 p.m. at Laurie Auditorium on the campus of Trinity University. Dr. J. Terence Kelly, chancellor of the Alamo Community College District will deliver the commencement address.

More than 300 St. Philip's College students are expected to participate in the graduation ceremonies, including student speaker Mary Grace Gallegos, who is graduating with an associate of Applied Science degree in the LVN to ADN Mobility Program.

Keynote speaker Dr. Terence Kelly assumed his duties as chancellor of the ACCD in September of this year, serving as chief executive officer of the growing community college district with an enrollment approaching 50,000. Prior to coming to San Antonio, Kelly served five years as chancellor of Delgado Community College in New Orleans and prior to that he spent 31 years in several top administrative positions at Miami-Dade Community College in Florida.

St. Philip's College, one of the Alamo Community Colleges serving the greater Bexar County region, is a comprehensive community college designated as both a Historically Black College and a Hispanic Serving Institution. St. Philip's College is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
