Lancer Hardy - Brief Biography

Student of the Month - Lancer HardyLancer is an excellent student and musician with two primary instruments and a talent that will likely take him into a professional orchestra and or a graduate program upon the completion of his AA this May and his Bachelors degree. He has a history of contributing to college and local community life, through performances with the college pep band, a scholarship fundraiser event with faculty, the college musical, the SAC/OLLU spring ensemble and the Incarnate Word community orchestra. He is a contributor -- an insightful, positive, sharp and participatory student and peer; a socially-conscious person in terms of individual and social choices and a commitment to volunteerism; and a resourceful individual with a strong work ethic, allowing him to slowly earn enough to afford his Double Bass (essential to his studies and future career) through work at a local instrument shop. In recent years he has been a camp counselor and gives his time and effort to mentor troubled teens through a rehabilitation program in California.
