Jennifer Smith
Jennifer D. Smith - Brief Biography

Ms. Smith is an outstanding student who has a total of 39 hours accrued toward her chosen degree of Physical Therapy. In addition to carrying a full class load, she has managed to maintain a 4.0 grade point average. This is additionally phenomenal when you take into consideration the fact that Jennifer is a single mother who works full time as a Certified Nursing Aid in a local rehabilitation center for the elderly.

Jennifer is not satisfied simply being a full time student, full time parent, or full time employee. She also volunteers her time within her community spending time visiting with the elderly, becoming a friend or family member when the clients actual friends and family are not available. She also finds time to work for the local Animal Defense League. The employees at the rehabilitation center expressed nothing but accolades about Jennifer, stating that she has been a wonderful employee for the entire five years she has been employed there.

Jennifer is also a college work study student at the Northeast Campus. She is the employee every employer would love to have. She has proven to her instructors, co workers, friends and clients that she is an outstanding young woman. She is responsible individual, intelligent, a quick learner and pleasant to be around.

As she gets closer to her goal of completing the requirements for the Physical Therapy Assistant program, Jennifer has realized that she must spend more time focusing on her class work. She has made the drastic decision to take a temporary leave of absence from the place she loves to work. Understanding that not only will she miss her friends and clients, but that she will have more difficulty providing for her daughter. Yet she is willing to make this sacrifice in order to continue to excel in class, complete the program requirements and graduate. In the end, Jennifer knows that education is the key to her future.
