Nicole
Nicole Rodgers - Brief Biography

Northeast Lakeview College student, Nicole Rodgers, is pursuing her A.A.S. degree as an Aircraft Technician. Completing more than 90 credit hours, Nicole has received three certificates and maintained a 3.8 GPA.

Nicole is not only a full-time student, but is employed full-time at Randolph AFB as an Aircarft Technician (Crew Chief) and part-time as a nursery caregiver. Nicole constantly pushes herself to succeed in whatever she encounters. Her English instructor, Anetia Ports, indicates “Nicole is an exceptional student who maximizes her potential.”

Nicole comments that she enjoys challenging herself and tributes overcoming obstacles as her greatest joy. This is evident, first and foremost, by her degree choice as she is the only female enrolled in her aircraft courses. In fact, statistics indicate that only 9% of American engineers are women. And only 20% of engineering degrees are earned by women. Nicole intends to increase this statistic by completing her A.A.S. degree as an Aircraft Technician in Mainframe and PowerPlant and continue her education to pursue her B.A. in Engineering.
