| Northwest
Vista College student, Scott D. Wilson, is
an exemplary student and an example to his
peers. Despite the responsibilities of work
and family, he carries a full-course load
each semester while still maintaining a 4.0
Grade Point Average.
Not
content to be just a student, Scott holds
a full-time job at Sea World of Texas and
is the proud father of a new baby. Even though
his schedule is hectic, Scott continues to
display consistent, academic excellence while
he energetically pursues his goal of someday
owning his own business.
Scott
is also very active on campus as a student
advisor in the ACCD Instructional Technology
Department’s “PALS Migration Committee.”
He provides valuable feedback and ideas, some
of which have been adopted for district-wide
implementation.
Furthermore,
Scott has also been involved in providing
feedback to the architects and Northwest Vista
College building committee as plans have been
developed for continued construction on the
Northwest Vista College campus.
Scott’s
interest and involvement in both classroom
and college activities demonstrates his positive
attitude towards his studies, his instructors,
and his peers. He sets a fine example as a
modest, well-informed leader as well as an
individual who unfailingly exceeds the expectations
of all those around him.
