Kip Rittenhouse  
Kip Rittenhouse - Brief Biography

Kip Rittenhouse is a student at Northeast Lakeview College pursuing his Associates of Arts in History. He has completed a total of 34 hours and maintained a 4.0 cumulative G.P.A.

Active on the Northeast Lakeview College campus, Kip serves as a tutor in the Academic Support Center and is a charter member of the NLC Psychology Club where he currently serves as Program Co-Chair. Dr. Stefanie Greiner, states “Kip aced my Introductory Psychology class and am pleased to have him in Personality this semester. He is very deserving of this honor.” Additionally, Dr. Robert Yowell, NLC Political Science instructor, notes that “Kip demonstrates excellent academic achievement and is a substantial contributor to classroom discussions.”

In addition to his strong academic background, Kip is also active in the United States Military. As a medic in the US Army, Kip served a Tour of Duty in Irag and had a one- month stay in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina assisting with the evacuation of flood victims.

Kip’s next steps include completing his A.A. degree and transferring to The University of Texas at San Antonio to obtain his B.A. He hopes to continue his education and eventually obtain a Ph.D. in history and become a college professor. Kip enjoys sharing his love for history with others. He feels that it is an important subject that helps people understand past changes and forecast future trends.
