Faculty Spotlight

San Antonio College Journalism-Photography Professor and Chair Emeritus Chester F. “Chet” Hunt, who last year retired from the department after 28 years, was recently honored with a Headliner Award from the Association for Women in Communications - San Antonio chapter.  Recognizing his professional achievement in the field of communications, Hunt received the Edna McGaffey Media Excellence Award, named for a former San Antonio College journalism student and a long-time columnist and feature writer for the San Antonio Express-News.

San Antonio College Service-Learning Coordinator Audrey Grams, Psychology Professor Dr. Pamela Hill, and Engineering Coordinator Dr. Dan Dimitriu were each nominated and received certificates for being Awards Finalists in the 2007 Spirit of Service Awards from Learn and Serve America. Grams was nominated for “Outstanding Learn and Serve Program” and Hill and Dimitriu as “Outstanding Service-Learning Faculty.”
