Titan/Banner Projects Office
Contacted Connecticut Community Colleges and received very positive feedback concerning Banner’s capacity for managing 95,000 students (50,000 credit and 45,000 non-credit) across 12 individually accredited Colleges in one database. Their CIO and Director of Student/Academic Information Systems both are pleased with Banner’s functionality and its receptivity by all Connecticut Community Colleges’ faculty and staff for 11 years. The only noted shortcoming of Banner mentioned was its delivered reporting capabilities. Overall, they found that their centralization and standardization of all 12 Colleges’ data into one database to be a very cost effective, long-term and stable solution for the Connecticut Community Colleges system.

• The Banner Project Stakeholders met on August 30. Major topics discussed included:
Banner implementation project benefits and goals; ACCD Student administrative functional directives; detailed breakout of Student implementation Governance structures; Student system requirements framework model; Banner project office FY 08 projected budget; Banner production (Budget managers and initiators) – Customer feedback and response plan
