The Alamo Community Colleges extend their condolences to Carol Riley, ACCD Ethics and Compliance Officer, and her family, on the loss of her husband, Jim Riley, one of the founding faculty members of Palo Alto College, who has taught business and accounting courses since 1985. Mr. Riley passed away Friday, October 5. A memorial service was held on October 11 at Thousand Oaks Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 8115 Datapoint, San Antonio, TX, 78229. The Palo Alto College Business Department has established a James B. Riley Memorial Scholarship in Accounting. Those wishing to donate to this scholarship fund should make checks out to the ACCD Foundation and write "Riley Memorial Scholarship" in the memo line. Checks may be s ent to the Business Department, Applied Science Building Room 122, Palo Alto College, 1400 W. Villaret Blvd., San Antonio, Texas 78224 or directly to the ACCD Foundation office at 201 W. Sheridan, San Antonio, Texas 78204-1429. Arrangements with Oak Hills Mortuary.



The Alamo Community Colleges extend their condolences to the family and friends of Eulalio (Eddie) Granado, who retired from ACCD as an electrician after 28 years. He passed away Sunday, October 7. Funeral services were held last week under the auspices of Castillo Mission Funeral Home. Granado proudly served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church and many work and community service organizations.
