Instruction is scheduled to begin as early as October 5, 2007. The first course of instruction is called “Fast Track” and is for instructors that have already been certified for on-line teaching at their respective colleges. It consists primarily of training necessary to understand and operate the Black Board Enterprise Vista Application. The second course of instruction is called the “Full Certification Track.” It starts with the “Fast Track” and adds pedagogical content. Both courses will run simultaneously. All training (for the January 2008 pilot) is scheduled to be completed by November 30th 2007. This training was developed to prepare the faculty for the pilot beginning in January 2008.
