Visual Arts and Technology Center Gallery, 950 Lewis at Dewey St. An art exhibit entitled "Selected Works 2007, Visual Arts Student Exhibition" will be on display. Juried by full-time faculty from hundreds of entries, the exhibit features a collected sampling of the best student work from both fine arts and digital design programs of the Visual Arts and Technology department. Gallery hours are Mon.-Thurs., 8 a.m.-9 p.m. and Fri.-Sat. 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

Synopsis: When the professor and writer Lola Sánchez is assigned to write a column in the newspaper about the Spanish Civil War, she researches and finds for the first time about the shooting of a fascist soldier supporter of Franco. Soon she will find out that the categorical division of good and evil, heroes and villains, winners and losers, is not an easy line to draw, especially, during a civil war. Based on a true story. Banquet Room. “Student/Parent Tax Issues.” Northwest Vista College will hold several financial literacy workshops for the community in the coming months on topics that range from college financial aid to buying a home. This project is a collaboration of Northwest Vista College, the City of San Antonio, San Antonio CPA Society and Zachry Construction. Northwest Vista College faculty will conduct the training for those workshops that will take place at the College. Additional classes will be held at various sites around the city. Much of the curriculum for these courses comes from Fannie Mae and Wells Fargo. Admission is free and open to the public.
