Faculty Spotlight

Northwest Vista College English Instructor Melinda Zepeda presented at the 23rd Annual Mid-America American Studies Association conference at the University of Missouri in Kansas City on April 13. The presentation titled, " 'You Talked about What in Class?' English Composition the American Studies Way" focused on integrating conversations of race, class, ethnicity, gender, and sexual orientation into the Freshman Composition I classroom through discussions surrounding popular culture.
