Update from the Chancellor

Goal II. Student Success
The Department of Institutional Advancement completed a preliminary Board Policy on Naming of ACCD facilities. The draft policy was discussed at the Chancellor’s Executive Committee meeting on April 23, 2007 and will be forwarded to the Chancellor for future consideration. Roland DuBay is also working with Jim Lanier and the Association of Governing Boards to finalize details on the training to be provided on May 18th & 19th for the ACCD Board of Trustees, ACCD Foundation Board of Directors, the chancellor, vice chancellors, college presidents and district institutional advancement staff in preparation for a major gifts campaign. San Antonio College Celebrates the Week of the Young Child with a Fiesta Parade. Children from the San Antonio College Early Childhood Center enjoyed a Spirit Day Parade and Fiesta part of the Celebration of the National Week of the Young Child. The day's festivities included face painting, making cascarones, making ice cream sundaes, a mural, music and dancing. (Photo by Leonard Ziegler)
