Faculty Spotlight

NVC Assistant Professor Scott L. Walker, who serves as the Geography Program Coordinator, had three articles published last fall (2007). They are:

"Exploration in the Ecology of Kindergarten and First Grade Geography Education" was published in the Journal of Geography.

"Techos de Mexico [Roofs of Mexico]" was published in Planeta: Global Journal of Practical Ecotourism.

"Exploring Chacala, Mexico" was published in Planeta: Global Journal of Practical Ecotourism.

 

Dr. Tom Manzo, SAC associate professor in the Foreign Language/ESOL department, has published a co-translation (with Dr. Shujan Cheng) of the book "Humble Table, Wise Fare I,” by Venerable Master Hsing Yun, Buddha’s Light Publishing.

  
Palo Alto College Assistant Professor of History Robert Hines received the colleges' annual “Starfish Award.” This student-driven award is given to a full-time or adjunct faculty member who has made a difference in the lives of students.
