Vice Chancellor Search

WELCOME

The Alamo Community College District (ACCD) is conducting a nationwide search for a Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Success. The Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Success works under the direction of the ACCD Chancellor.

The following areas report to the Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Success:

  • International Programs
  • Student and Community Program Development
  • Achieving the Dream (A Lumina Project)
  • Student Financial Services

The ACCD is in an enviable position due to San Antonio's growth, increasing tax base, expanding student population, stable financial environment, and the opportunity to build new facilities through a $450 million Capital Improvement Program approved by voters in November 2005.

The ACCD enrolls 73,000 credit and non-credit students per semester at four independently accredited colleges:

A fifth ACCD college, Northeast Lakeview College, is in the process of seeking accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

The ACCD colleges offer associate degrees, certificates, and licensures, as well as arts and science courses that transfer to four-year colleges and universities.

This website provides valuable information concerning San Antonio, ACCD's organizational structure and special ACCD initiatives.

Thank you for your interest in the Alamo Community College District.
