Faculty Teaching Online

Distance Education courses should cover the same content and student learning outcomes as traditional face to face courses.  On the first day of classes, faculty are required to post a copy of the syllabus on the Internet-Based Course.  The Syllabus should adhere to same requirements as a face to face class.  The course should provide for timely and appropriate interaction between students and faculty and among other students enrolled in the course. The expectations concerning the use of such technology should be clearly communicated to students.

Course requirements should ensure that students are afforded the same privileges of access to library resources and services as students in traditional settings and will be able to effectively use and select appropriate library resources.  Laboratories, facilities, and equipment will be provided to support Distance Learning courses.
