FAQ
How is an online class different than attending a traditional class?
An online class differs from a classroom environment because you will choose the time and place for learning. An online course is self-paced and provides for independent learning.  Since the course is over the Internet, you will be spending a lot of time in front of the computer reading and writing.  You will also be required to participate in online discussions.

What about tests?
The instructor for your course will decide whether you will take a test online or attend a test session at the campus.

Is an online class easier than going to a class?
No.  Online classes require a different learning environment, but your online class will have the same rigor as a regular face to face class.  If  you have never taken an online course, be prepared to spend more time in this course as you get used to a new environment and learn how to use the Internet tools your instructor might require of you.

What are the benefits to taking an online class?
Since you are in charge of your schedule, you can do the work at home or in any place you enjoy learning and at any time of the day.  You can avoid driving to the campus and having to find a parking space.   Online classes are perfect for students with irregular schedules who need more flexibility with time and location in order to complete their degree.
