Northeast Lakeview College is committed to exemplary student educational experiences through various resources including integration of technology in the curriculum.  The digital revolution is dramatically changing the learning environment.  A critical proficiency for today’s students is to master digital resources needed to accelerate educational experiences.  The Instructional Innovation Center is here to help you create, inspire, and advance Instructional Technology in the classroom.
The Instructional Innovation Center is committed to serving faculty in a professional development environment through formal and informal sessions to enhance professional growth and innovation.  Our overarching goal is to advance the effective use of instructional technology at Northeast Lakeview through service and support initiatives.


Our goals are to:
-Invite faculty and staff to participate in the latest instructional best-practice research,
-Focus on “just-in-time” and not “just-in-case” professional development,
-Provide a model that focuses on learning and goes beyond mere training,
-Provide various modes of delivery that meet the needs of adult learners,
-Serve as a faculty and staff support and resource center,
-Collaborate with other instructional support areas to ensure comprehension support in all arenas of instructional technology advancement.


Professional development workshops are offered in the following areas:   theory and practice in curriculum and instruction, software applications, faculty-website creation, and the Internet-based course development.
