DISABILITY SUPPORT SERVICES

No qualified student with a disability shall, on the basis of the disability, be excluded from participation in or be denied the benefits of services, programs, or activities of the College, or be subjected to discrimination by the College, as required by the American with Disabilities Act of 1990. Students with documented hearing, visual, mobility, and/or learning disabilities may request accommodations that will enable them to participate in, and benefit from, all educational programs. Accommodations may include special testing arrangements, readers, scribes, and note-taking services.

   Disability Support Services Presentation

In order to receive accommodations, students need to:

  • Complete the Disability Services Intake Form
  • Provide current documentation of the disability by a qualified professional.
  • Be approved for services by the Disability Office. This requires scheduling an appointment to review documentation once the student is registered for college.

Enrolled students who have been approved for disability services and would like to renew letter(s) of accommodation for the current or upcoming semester may fill out and submit the Request for Letter of Accommodation form. The completed form should be returned to Anna Forey-Rohrbach, Disability Specialist, either in person or by fax/email.

Students must register early to ensure that their needs are met and accommodations are available by the time classes begin.

To request assistance, call 486-5487 or email Anna Forey-Rohrbach aforey-rohrbach@alamo.edu to schedule an appointment.

Disability Support Services hours are from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Appointments can be made to accommodate evening and weekend students.
