Northeast Lakeview College Tours New York City

Business Club in New York
Members of the Northeast Lakeview College Business Club travelled to New York City to experience business principles they discuss in their classes. The students visited the famous New York City Financial District, which included Wall Street and the New York Stock Exchange. They also toured the Financial Museum across from the Stock Exchange, where they were introduced to the history of money, finance and trading. To learn about New York City history, the students took a bus tour of Lower Manhattan & Brooklyn and visited "Ground Zero" and Battery Park (home to the September 11th Memorial).

According to Jill Kramer, NLC Business Club Secretary, "the trip was a tremendous opportunity for us. We were exposed to the huge world of finance, retail, advertising, and marketing that New York City offers like nowhere else." The trip was planned and facilitated by Allison Duesing, NLC instructor and Business Club sponsor and funded through the Student Services fee.
