“Achieving the Dream: Community Colleges Count” is a multi-year initiative, funded by the Lumina Foundation that addresses a national imperative increasing the success of low income students and students of color. Northwest Vista College, along with each of the other colleges of the Alamo Community College District, is participating in the initiative and will develop interventions to improve student outcomes in the following areas:

  • Successful completion of developmental courses and progression to college-level courses
  • Successful completion of identified college-level courses.
  • Productive grades (grades of A-C) in all courses
  • Semester to semester persistence
  • Graduation
