OVERVIEW

    • The Office of Institutional Research, Planning and Effectiveness coordinates the administration of course evaluations to all non-distance learning courses.
    • SDEV classes are included in the course evaluation process.
    • Dual Credit classes are not included in the course evaluation process.
    • Flex I surveys are administered to all adjuncts.
    • Fall surveys are administered to all adjuncts, tenure-track and tenured faculty.

SURVEY PROCESS

    • The Institutional Research office provides survey packets to Teaching and Learning Facilitation, Mountain Laurel Hall 118, approximately 4-5 weeks before the last day of class.
    • Faculty receive email notification that their survey packets are available and ready for pick-up from Teaching and Learning Facilitation, MLH118.
    • All packets are labeled with the instructor's name, class name, and five-digit class call number. Instructors are asked to review the survey instructions with students, making sure that the correct call number for each particular class is properly filled in. The call number is essential to tie survey results to each class.
    • Additional or replacement survey packets may be requested from the Office of Institutional Research, Planning and Effectiveness. Please contact Elizabeth Lopez in Manzanilla Center, room 104F, or call 348-2112.
    • Instructors are asked to designate a responsible student to return completed course surveys in the original envelope provided to the survey box located in MLH 118 or to the Teaching and Learning Facilitation Annex located at the Boardwalk, G61.
    • Surveys are scanned; results are tabulated and returned to the Academic Leaders within 6-8 weeks after final exams.
    • Faculty retrieve completed scanned and reported survey packets from Academic Leaders.
    • Questions regarding specific class results should be directed to the Academic Leader of the instructor in question.
