Northwest Vista College conducts three major survey research projects annually with the assistance of external research organizations.

PACE - The Personal Assessment of the College Environment Survey

The purpose of this survey is to obtain the perceptions of personnel concerning the college climate and to promote more open and constructive communication among faculty, staff, and administrators. Researchers at the National Initiative for Leadership and Institutional Effectiveness (NILIE) and representatives of Northwest Vista College collaborated to create a survey that would reflect opinions of all personnel throughout the college.

SACE - The Student Assessment of the College Environment Survey

The purpose of this survey is to obtain the perceptions of students concerning the institutional climate and to promote more open and constructive communication among faculty, staff and administrators. Researchers at the National Initiative for Leadership and Institutional Effectiveness (NILIE) and representatives of Northwest Vista College collaborated to create a survey that would reflect opinions of all students throughout the institution.

CCSSE - Community College Survey of Student Engagement

The Community College Survey of Student Engagement (CCSSE) provides a tool for assessing quality in community college education. CCSSE results help Northwest Vista College focus on good educational practice — defined as practice that promotes high levels of student learning and retention — and identify areas in which we can improve our programs and services for students. The survey asks questions about institutional practices and student behaviors that are highly correlated with student learning and retention.
