About the Program
Northwest Vista College
has partnered with David H. Paul, Inc., a nationally recognized
water treatment training and consulting firm, to provide state
of the art equipment and instruction for a program in Advanced
Water Treatment. The program takes four semesters, includes
hands-on experience in the most current treatment methods,
and results in an Associate of Applied Science degree in Advanced
Water Treatment.
Graduates of the Advanced Water Treatment program will have
the knowledge to operate, monitor, troubleshoot and chemically
clean equipment that most manufacturing facilities cannot
function without. Reverse osmosis and other high purity water
treatment technologies are vital to private industry and are
becoming increasingly important to municipal water treatment
plants that serve communities across the country. The demand
for employees with knowledge on this technology is great.
The average starting salary of graduates of similar programs
is $39,800. Some graduates have been offered starting salaries
as high as $56,000. |
