Question 1:
What should I expect, as far as a job, when I graduate from
the program?
Answer
1:
Our graduates work in a number of different industries. While
they all work in water treatment, one may work for a pharmaceutical
company, while another may work in power generaation.
This is good for our graduates because they have OPTIONS
and they are not limited to one industry. While there are
jobs all over the U.S., most are in larger cities and in coastal
regions. A water treatment job may require you to relocate.
Advanced Water treatment graduates from similar programs
have earned an average starting salary of $39,800. Northwest
Vista College and David H. Paul, Inc. will not guarantee you
a job when you complete the course, but we will teach you
the skills to help you find work in the industry and give
you networking contacts.
Question
2:
I don't think I can afford the program. Where can I get help
to pay for it?
Answer
2:
If you need assistance, you must apply for financial aid.
You will receive financial aid options. Some will
receive only the option to obtain loans. Others will have
the opportunity to receive a Pell Grant. This is "free
money" from the federal government that you do not have
to pay back. The quickest and easiest way to apply for financial
aid is online at www.ed.gov/studentaid or you can call the
NVC financial aid office at 210-348-2100.
