Testing Requirements
Students applying for admission to
the Dual Credit Program at NVC must meet the required
Texas Success Initiative (TSI) requirements. Each Dual
Credit course requires college-level placement in certain
areas (Reading, Math and English). Placement may be
determined using several exams.
A student who is TSI exempt is considered
at college level for all areas and is eligible to take
any Dual Credit course for which he or she meets the
college prerequisites.
Students who do not place at the college
level in a particular area may be able to retake that
portion of the Accuplacer. Students must wait at least
6 weeks and will be charged a $5 fee per section.
