Language Lab

English Language Learning Center (ELLC)
for
Building a Learning Community and
Promoting College ESL Student Success

The services in the ELLC are offered to each ESL student who is enrolled in the ESL courses in levels 1 – 6 (beginning through advanced). Students work on individual programs designed to review, reinforce, and supplement their classroom studies in a supportive environment. Our language learning center is full of resources to help you learn English in a natural and comfortable way.

The tutors are helpful and very understanding of your needs. Some of the courses (speaking/listening and reading) require a lab component with student lab attendance calculated as part of each student’s final grade. There are 20 computers for in-class and independent work.

The lab is equipped with special ESL software for academic improvement and language development. Center tables and resources are provided for small group work and group or one-on-one tutoring. Additionally, the learning center occasionally has exciting and fun activities and contests to promote learning and motivate you in your goals for success!
