How to Apply for Dual Credit at Northwest Vista

1. Submit Application Through Apply Texas

You will need the following information before you begin your Apply Texas application:

• Social Security Number
• County where you live
• High School Code or Choose Private or Home-School Student
• E-Mail Address (required)
• Printer (recommended, but not required)
• Apply at www.applytexas.org (processing takes 2-3 days) Click here if you need Step-by-step directions 

Note:   if you do not have a social security number, please contact the records incomplete if this is left blank or entered incorrectly, and you will not be considered for enrollment.

1. Confirm thorugh NVC that your application was complete
2. Complete and submit required forms, accuplacer scores, and notarized transcript to Joe Gonzales in the Dual Credit Office (Juniper Hall 213)
   • Parent and Student Consent Form
   • Request to take Dual Credit as a Sophomore
     (students who will be in the 10th grade during the 2009 - 2010 school year and who will be 16 years of age by August 1, 2009)
   • Take the Accuplacer test on your high school campus or at NVC
     (check with NVC's Testing Center for available times)
   • Determine Eligibility to take Dual Credit Classes
   • Obtain Authorization to Register
   • Set up advising appointment with Student Success Advisor to obtain permission to register
   • Register for courses from the Available Dual Credit Course List

Incomplete application materials will not be accepted by NVC.

Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance to Northwest Vista College.  All application materials must be received and verified before a student is accepted to the college.

Please Note: ALL Completed application materials must be in the Dual Credit office at Northwest Vista College by the published deadline. (check website)
