Accounting Payroll Clerk Certificate The Accounting Payroll Clerk Certificate is designed for individuals that are interested in preparing payroll or would like to learn a portion of accounting. Students will have the opportunity to prepare an actual payroll register; while learning the processes involved with local and federal tax laws, ledgers, special journals, and employer/employee deductions and contributions. QuickBooks is the most popular accounting software used by small business owners. This is an introduction to QuickBooks geared to new and existing small business owners. Its main objective is to introduce you to the basic features in QuickBooks and give you an opportunity for hands-on practice. We’ll talk about the types of information you need to track in your business, to enter that information, and track it in QuickBooks. This includes check writing, payroll, and reporting, just to name a few. By the time you complete this course, you will have a good idea of all that QuickBooks offers, you’ll be familiar with the most common tasks, and you will know where to find information about more advanced features.
