Distance Education Support

Online Research - Do you need to do research for a course? Link to our Learning Resource Center to research literature for your coures.

Online Tutoring - Do you need help with math, reading or english? Contact one of our online tutors for an online session. (Coming Soon).

Online Academic Advising - Are you undecided on your major or what courses you should take next semester? Schedule an appointment with one of our online Counselors. (Coming Soon).

Online Transfer Information - Do you want to continue your education at a four year college? Palo Alto College provides transfer information to most four year institutions. Click on the link for more information.

E-Mail - If you are taking a distance education course, you will need to have access to e-mail. As a student of Palo Alto College, you automatically receive an e-mail account. Link on to e-portal to access your e-mail. Your instructor may have already sent you an e-mail on your distance education course.

GPA Calculator - Do you want to know what your GPA will be after this semester? Use the online GPA calculator to determine what your GPA might be by entering possible grades you will receive in your courses. Please keep in mind that Palo Alto College does not use + or -. Grades are calculated by using A, B, C, D, F.

Internet Dial up for Educational Access (IDEA) - The Internet Dialup for Educational Access (IDEA) provides Internet Service for the Students, Faculty and Staff of Alamo Community College District. IDEA includes a Netscape browser, Eudora Lite E-mail application, and FTP access. IDEA's goal is to provide a quality service at an economical rate to meet the primary Internet needs of students, faculty and staff.
