| Telecourses Information
Palo Alto College offers a variety of telecourses each semester.
Telecourses allow students to earn credit for college courses
by
utilizing video programs broadcast on television. Telecourses are
of the same academic quality, credit, transferability and cost
as
on-campus courses. Students register for these courses as they
do for other classes. The call number for each course is listed
by
the course number.
Students who register for telecourses should expect:
-
Attend a mandatory orientation session
-
View assigned video programs once a week
-
Follow the instructor's syllabus
-
Complete textbook and other assignments
-
Take exams on campus.
Programs are broadcast at varying times on:
Time Warner Cable (Channel 98)
Grande Cable (Channel 23), and
San Antonio College Low Power Television Station UHF Channel 48.
Students may find it helpful to utilize a personal VCR to tape
these programs should they be unable to view the programs during
scheduled cable broadcast times. These video programs
can also be viewed in the Ozuna Learning Resources Center (Library)
or checked out over night or purchased from the PAC Bookstore.
