The English Department offers a variety of writing and literature courses. For students who enroll in English classes for the first time, placement testing is required. Students planning to pursue a baccalaureate degree in English should base all course selections on the degree plan from the institution to which they plan to transfer. Students who intend to major in English and have not yet decided on the senior college that they will attend should follow Palo Alto College’s generic degree plan for English.
