Advisement
Academic advisement is a very important part of your college career. The purpose of advisement is to assist you in the development of your degree plan. In general, students who have less than 15 hours of college credit and/or have not declared a major will see a college counselor for advisement. Once the student has declared their major and has the 15 hours then they will be advised by a designated faculty member. The faculty advisor for criminal justice is Steve Mardock. He will be more than glad to visit with you. Each semester he will be set aside time for the advisement. The advisement period generally begins about a month before regisration begins for the following semester. However, if you need advisement before the regular advisement period he will make arrangements to see you. Just contact him during office hours and find out the dates and set up an individual appointment. See the contact information at the bottom of this page. Also, he will be willing to talk with you about criminal justice educational and employment careers even if you are not yet a criminal justice major.
