Writing Assistance Center

The Writing Assistance Center is a supplemental tutoring program designed to assist ALL students with ANY writing assignment. ACCD students may utilize our services whether they are enrolled in an English course, on-line course or have a writing assignment in another discipline. A student should expect to come to the center prepared to work individually and interactively with a tutor who will offer direction, guidance and suggest improvements. Special arrangements such as online or faxed correspondence can be coordinated in advance.

The individualized tutoring sessions are 50 minutes in duration. Students are encouraged to bring a course syllabus, assignment sheet, typed paper draft, and all associated notes, in order to ensure quality feedback. Walk-ins are welcome; however, students with appointments have priority. It is advised that students stop by or call in the center to schedule appointments.
