If My Notetaker is Absent

First of all, DON'T PANIC!...Sometimes students are absent.

Use the following ways to get the notes:

  • Keep extra two ply paper with you to avoid having to make xerox copies.
  • Ask the "back up" notetaker you've recruited to take notes for that day.
  • Keep extra 2-ply notetaking paper with you for your back up or substitute notetakers.
  • Ask another student if you can copy his/her notes. See if he/she will walk with you to Disability Support Services so the staff can make a copy of the notes for you.
  • Ask the Instructor to help you find someone to take notes for that day and bring them to Disability Support Services to be copied.
  • Some instructors may have lecture notes. You may ask the Instructor if they don't mind you making a copy of their lecture notes.

If you have questions...ask in Disability Support Services!
