Advising - Transfer Student Steps

NEW TRANSFERS TO PALO ALTO COLLEGE  

STEP 1: WELCOME ENROLLMENT CENTER (Applied Technology Center, Rm. 220)

  • Submit Application for Admissions Online
  • Submit college transcripts from schools attended since last enrolled at PAC
  • Submit appropriate test scores or other college transcripts
  • If needed, schedule appointment for testing
  • Take test & receive scores (writing sample results may take two weeks)
  • Make appointment for group advising session

STEP 2: GROUP ADVISING (See Appointment Card for Location)

  • Meet with Counselor/Advisor for Group Advising Session
  • Register for SDEV 0170 (College Success) if you have fewer than 15 college-credit hours upon entrance to PAC.
  • Select your courses from the advising list, determine class times you can attend
  • Select appropriate course section numbers in order to complete your schedule
  • Regsiter for courses following the directions in the class schedule/group session
  • Print out copy of schedule and tuition bill

STEP 3 : BURSAR (Student Center, Rm. 130)

  • Pay for classes and secure payment receipt or
  • Complete payment plan contract, pay minimum due and secure payment receipt or
  • Student on Financial Aid: Access Registering online, log on, then Account
  • Receipt of payment secures your enrollment in classes
