The mission of the Library and Information Studies (LIS) department (consisting of all PAC LRC faculty librarians) is to instruct library users in research methods and resources, to promote and facilitate Information Literacy (see Information Literacy definition and mission) for Palo Alto College (PAC) and the community, support the mission of the Learning Resource Center (LRC) (see LRC Mission), support the curriculum of Palo Alto College, and to promote and support the PAC librarians as teaching faculty in a teaching library.
