Shared Reading
Conduct a shared reading lesson cycle of a big-book (4 readings) with a small group of students and or with a whole class in grades K, 1st, or 2nd.
Big Book Selection:
1st Reading [approx. 15 minutes]
Introduce text; encourage anticipation; read text with discussion of meaning of story; ask for response after reading; comprehension strategy and vocabulary objectives.
