These are online classes employing Blackboard Vista, which is an asynchronous Internet program which allows the student to see and work with all the material the instructor places on the screen at any time of day or night. Orientation will be held on campus the first night of classes. That is the only night you will need to come to campus. For really distant students, orientation will be available online.

Once you are admitted to PAC, you need to contact the Assessment Office. Note: If you are just seeking the certificate, you do not have to be assessed. However, if you choose this route, you may not take any other courses without assessment. Also, you must contact the Admissions office and let them know that you are taking a "local waived certificate." Otherwise there will be a "hold" on your record when you try to register. Call Admissions at 1-210-486-3700 and ask them to remove the "hold" on your record.
STEP 2: Assessment
If you are seeking a degree, or wanting academic credit for the courses, go to Assessment and follow the instructions. If you cannot come to PAC in San Antonio, call 210-486-3100 and arrange testing in your area.
