Paris - Pantheon
The Pantheon is across from La Place de Ste. Genevieve and is an unmistakable structure. Louis XV constructed it to replace the then ruinous Abbey of St. Genevieve. The building was completed in 1764 and in 1791, the Constituent assembly declared it a place where distinguished citizens were to be buried.
