IDST 2377: Modes of Inquiry Prompts

Choose any two of the following prompts. Your essay must be two pages long. Use a font of 12 and one-inch margins. Also follow the essay criteria as indicated in the Modes Syllabus Packet

- Discuss the steps involved in doing detective work. How did John Morris use this process in his search for Coronado in Texas? Use specific examples from the article The Search for Cona in your discussion.
- Briefly discuss humanities detective work as a mode of inquiry. How
did Dr. Martinello use this approach in her research of Emma Beckmann? Refer
to The Search for Emma's Story in your discussion and provide specific ideas to support your ideas.
