Aesop Dress'd; or, A Collection of Fables ( 1704 ). An expanded version of his earlier work.
The Grumbling Hive; or, Knaves Turned Honest ( 1705 ) Edited by Jack Lynch.
The Virgin Unmask'd; or, Female Dialogues ( 1709 ).
The Fable of the Bees; or, Private Vices, Publick Benefits ( 1714; 1723 ). The standard edition of this major work of Mandeville's is that of F. B. Kaye, published in two volumes by Oxford, 1924. That work was reprinted by Liberty Classics, 1988. Philip Harth edited and introduced the Penguin Books Fable in 1970. The latter is the most accessible for undergraduates.
