Mary W. Whitehead

Welcome to my homepage. I have been a full time tenure track faculty member at San Antonio College for 33 years. I worked as an adjunct faculty member for one year.

My career started at San Antonio College in 1974. I taught classes in the Administrative Computer Technology Department (formerly Business Technology Department) until January of 1990. A t that time, I was asked to direct and chair the Computer Technology for the Disabled Department.

Since the inception of that department, the Business Advisory Council, and the staff of the Computer Technology for the Disabled have graduated over a hundred disabled students and placed them in productive jobs throughout San Antonio and surrounding areas.The Business Advisory Council to the program consisted of businessmen who owned, or were chief executive officers in the information system area.

The Business Advisory Council established a Foundation for the program and sponsored two students. The Foundation was named after the chairperson--- The Mary W. Whitehead Foundation, Inc.
