| Deidra Flynn-Dobson earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies from Texas State University in 2008. Subsequent to earning her AAS degree in American Sign Language-Interpreter from San Antonio College, in 2000, she embarked on her interpreting career journey in 2001. She initially worked as an interpreter for the North Side Independent School District. In 2002, Deidra traveled to Texas State University where she worked as a freelance interpreter until 2008.
She has “come full circle” in her chosen vocation by having interpreted in a variety of settings, including video relay with Sorenson Communications where she also served as an adviser. She is thrilled to have returned to SAC and the opportunity to work alongside a team she considers “invaluable” in supporting and guiding her throughout her journey.
