| David-Lee Raymond is Jamaican and was raised in all Deaf family. Before moving to America,
he worked for the Jamaica Association for the Deaf in several capacities. He was an instructor in the Youth
Theatre Workshop, an innovative project combining drama and literacy instruction for Deaf teens. He also worked as
a high school level Deaf Culture Facilitator focusing his efforts on relay interpreting and small group instruction.
David-Lee received his Associate of Science in Drafting and Design Technology and his Associate of Arts degrees
from Edison College in Southwest Florida . While working as a computer technician performing drafting for a
luxury homebuilder, he also taught community classes in American Sign Language for 2 ½ years. Last Fall,
he moved to Texas and began his work towards his Bachelor’s degree. He now combines his skill with
computers and sign language instruction as a Lab Technician in the Department of American Sign Language and Interpreter
Training at San Antonio College.
