Nancy Slasor
Born
in Pennsylvania, Nancy is third generation Deaf.
She attended Gallaudet for two years prior to moving
to Tennessee where she received her B.S. in Deaf Education
from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville in 1972.
In 1982, she received a full scholarship from the
National Leadership Training Program for the Deaf,
for an M.A. in Educational Administration and Supervision
at California State University at Northridge.
Nancy has been a teacher of the Deaf since 1972 with
nine years at the Indiana School for the Deaf and
the remainder with San Antonio Independent School
District-Regional Day School Program for the Deaf.
During that time, she also served as a part-time instructor
at San Antonio College teaching Basic English to Deaf
students, and taught evening Sign Language classes
for SAISD/RDSPD. Nancy has been an adjunct instructor
in the ITPD program since 1994.
