Tom Cox

Tom R. Cox, M.A., R.I.D. CI/CT, Texas Level V, Master, Court Certified, holds a Bachelors of General Studies and a Masters of Arts in Applied Linguistics from Texas Tech University; Lubbock, Texas. He is currently pursuing a Ph. D. in Education at Texas State University, San Marcos. He has more than thirty years experience as a freelance interpreter in medical, psychological, educational, legal and community settings. Tom served many years on the Board for Evaluation of Interpreters (BEI) and was chairperson for in 2004-2005. He is also a past board member with the Texas Society of Interpreters for the Deaf, (TSID). He has presented numerous educational offerings for interpreters at the local, state and
national levels.
